Results from 4 day hunting trip

I took a 4-day long-distance road trip to New Jersey to hunt outside of my usual hunting grounds. Scored lots of clad and some nice silver coins, jewelry and spoon. Also found a small military button, 10 wheaties and a what appeared to be a very old copper or brass John Adams presidential coin. The clad totalled a little over 40 bucks. Unfortunately I didn't find any gold but it wasn't for lack of trying since i did spend about half my time digging low tones. The reason I spent only half my time on low tones is I stumbled upon a place where there were so many signals I was kind of forced to scale back and only dig some of them. There seemed to be a zillion quarters in the ground so I decided to stop digging everything but quarter signals for a while...a first for me for sure!

Anyhow I had a great time and highly recommend hitting the road with your machine for some fun outside of your local/usual spots.

was the CIB in the same place ? you just don't lose those .

All silver finds are from one park in New Jersey.

About a week ago I found a 1940s Phillipeans 50 Centavos piece (70% silver) in a park in PA. That's the beauty of this hobby...you never know what you might unearth. I always tell people it's like playing scratch off lottery tickets.

I'm assuming by CIB you mean the 1942 British Half Crown. It's slightly bigger than a US half dollar and 50% silver.

Edit...oh duh on my part...cib is the silver riffle item. Yes all the silver from same park.

Great finds Mcdetect!

What nam1969 was referring to as "cib" is Combat Infantry Badge. And he is correct - they are not frequently lost. I've dug one at an abandoned house a few years ago. I figured that kids got into Dad's stuff and lost it.

Your silver must have made your trip! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

Looks like you had a fun time. I especially like the sterling Muzzleloader Pin.
