General succumbed to cancer this morning. He seldom missed a club hunt and was often said to be our unofficial mascot. He made many friends with club members and I thought those hearts he touched would want to know.

Always enjoyed his participation at the hunts. Sorry for your loss.

He was the Club's Best Bud. We will miss HIM.

So sorry for you and Nancy's loss... I always looked forward to General greeting me at the club hunts..

Thank you so very much. It's really been so hard on us all the last few days. :sadwalk: Seems like it was all a bad dream. We got his ashes home yesterday so he's home now. To think that it only started with a tiny cough (more like clearing his throat) the weekend of Feb. 22nd and within one week, we found out he had mast cell tumors in his lungs and was going downhill daily. We promised him that we would not let him loose his dignity or pride just for our being. He didn't ever show us his pain and we didn't want him to start now. It's been terribly hard. Sometimes I think I'm still in disbelief. He will always be in my heart. Here's one of my favorite pictures of The General.
