Responded to a fire tonight......

Paul (AR)

New member
Got the call at 8pm of round bales of hay on fire. I thought 1 or 2 bales, should be home in about an hour. Got there and saw about 80 to 100 bales on fire. We fought the fires the best we could but could not put the fires out. There was no danger of the fields catching on fire so we decided to let the bales burn themselves out. We decided to take turns standing by with the fire trucks all night. I got home at 3am and have to be at work by 7am. Too late to go to bed, so I'll just stay up. Sure am tired, but I really love being a volunteer fire fighter and first responder. Take care everyone and God Bless.

I have heard of bales being put into barns while still wet and then spontaneously catching fire. Can't imagine kids setting 80 to 100 of em on fire.

Pray God gives you extra strength to make it through the day.

Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

glad all are ok, and it was not a home!
