Reset

Hi folks

I'm 50 miles out in the middle of nowhere without my manual beach hunting wondering if I could get some quick help.
Rang Minelab and told them even though I have the pin point and sea option my ctX is running erratically
sensitivity is jumping from 18 to 30 and everywhere in between.
The only thing I can do to settle it down is to turn it off and back on. this works for awhile and then it goes crazy again.
They told me to reset the machine. but I forgot to ask how to do this, also will I lose the pin point and sea water option.?
Don't want to ring back as I'm low on power and feel like a twit not asking in the first place

Soft reset is pulling the battery out while the machine is running, you wont lose anything, or you could reset from the Menu but you will lose your programs and waypoints.
