Reservoir Bed--Dug It All

This is the good stuff. Tossed out the trash! http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/5535/goodstuff.jpg
All metal mode. Dug everything except the solid iron indicators. If it showed iron but still fluctuated, then I dug that also. Had to try doing it at least once just for bragging rights if nothing else. Hunted for 2 hours and covered about 200 feet in a straight line. Slow going to say the least. Hundred feet an hour. Mucho, mucho trash. UN-BA-LEE-BA-BUL !

Ground wasnt exactly muddy but was spongy and on the verge. Wondering if the ground condition affected my 250? Not having any balancing features. Dunno. I've seen people mention certain detectors being good in dry sand but not in wet. Not sure if the same applies here. Took along a shovel on the recommendation of a couple of the forum members and it turned out to be a nice advantage being able to take out 2 or 3 targets in one or two shovelfuls and then goin at em with my pinpointer. Havent given up on this reservoir tho. Going back tomorrow with the sniper coil this time in a different area using a little more discrimination. There are some ruins in the reservoir but can't get at em as the water level is still too high. It was a good hunt though. Learned some lessons and enjoyed myself.

From the looks of the targets you did good! It's just a matter of time until the gold shows itself. Meanwhile buy a tackle box....

:usaflag:I have waterhunted with my Ace 250...up to my knees anyways...and I never had any issues with wet sand..found lots of cool stuff.
