First Edition 1st limited edition, #418 of 500 copies, signed by Nolie Mumey, excellent condition, with an excellent, protected, dust jacket, published by The Old West Publishing Company, Denver, 123 pages. A day by day dairy of Alonso Ferdinand Ickis, [1836-1917], a Union soldier, serving under Colonel Edward Canby, and Christopher "Kit" Carson with his Mexican Troops, relates his day by day activities with Company B; The First Volunteer Regiment to leave the Territory Of Colorado for active service during the Civil War, with a graphic description of his participation in the Battle of Valverde, New Mexico. The frontispiece is a tipped in photograph of Alonzo Ferdinand Ickis in his Civil War uniform, also there is a large fold out map in the rear of the route followed by Ickis during the Civil War.

Outstanding notes by Jerry Thompson.
