Reproduction CSA belt plate?

Does anyone know what metals the 1960s centennial belt plates were made of? I think I may have dug one (rectangular CSA). It's not pewter or brass -- looks like lightweight pot metal. Also some tiny letters on the back that I can't read. Makes me think of a toy makers reproduction.

Thanks for your help.
