Took the Detech 5" coil to a hammered house site today and got 40 or 50 hits that weren't there last time!, lol. It really gets between the iron well! Can't wait to try it at my button patches.
 
I can usually count on getting one.
 
The small coils really work good in iron infested ground.......I use the Excelerator 4.5x7 and the 6 inch Excelerator coil, they have added a lot of silver coins to my treasure chest......

You did well with the small coil..
