I have been trading and rereading my collection for some time. I'll be glad to see a"fresh" issue!

Me too.
Hey maybe they'll have a new ID machine in the new issue.

Thanks for replies Pap and markg !

Being a relative "Newbie" (2-1/2 to 3 years), I wasn't even aware of the Tesoro MDI magazine until I subscribed to W & E Treasures and saw an ad for the "Free" MDI. The word Free always catches my attention ! I never imagined that a freebie would contain such a treasure trove of MD'ing information ! The Glossary alone is a great help and I refer to it often. The "Do You Have A Question ?" section, authored by second generation co-owner James Gifford, is a great source of technical information too and just about my favorite (hard to pick one....they're all so good !) It's going to be a real challenge for the New Edition to top the previous 21st. !

Hi jmaryt,

Bruce Purpura is the man pictured on the front cover of the last September, 2005 issue of Tesoro's MDI. He wrote the article titled "Axe Hoard Discovered", starting on page 14 of that issue. At that time he was obviously working for Tesoro as a contributing editor. Don't know if he held any other positions with the company, or if he is currently connected with them in some capacity.

Thanks for dropping by !

how do you obtain one?

Hi pulltab !

Their ad in the Oct., 2008 issue of Lost Treasure magazine, page 28, says to write, call or email (See below).

Address: Tesoro Electronics, Inc.
715 White Spar Road
Prescott, AZ 86303

Phone: 1-800-528-3352

Email (This is the one listed in the ad.): catalog@tesoro.com

Email (This is the one I used recently to ask them a question.): support@tesoro.com

As mentioned in my post attachment at the top of this thread, Christi at their Support group said they are out of stock on the 2005, 21st Edition and it looks like the new 22nd Edition will not be available for another one or two months. I'm betting it will be out in time for Christmas shoppers ! ;)
