Replacing Excal II Headphones

John(Tx)

New member
I know this has been posted before (by Beechnut, I believe) but I can't find it. My excal's volume has been very, very low lately and I suspect the headphones. I checked the wiring inside and found some of the wiring insulation is deteriorating and that may be the problem. Thinking maybe I should just replace my headphones with some good ones but not sure how to remove the end cap to get this done, do I just remove the end cap where the headphones are connected and not mess with the other side? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Also, what headphones should I use and where can I buy them? Thanks, John
