Replacement for the Garretts GTI 2500???

I know spring is around the corner and was wondering if there is going to be a replacement for the GTI 2500???
Its between the Whites DFX or the GTI2500
whoever put theirs out first as a replacement hopefully in the spring.
I am going to chance it.....JT
 
I heard Garrett is coming out with a lightweight relic detector based on the Ace 250 design. I don't know if this is true or not but i would wait if you can.

Garrett is changing their 2500 and 1500 imaging coil to a slimmer 9.5" imaging coil. Looks like a rounder version of the 1350 coil. Catalogs are out now if anyone whats one.
 
I am going to wait till summer the latest to get a Detector...
Unless i hear otherwise.
I would like one to use when i am in Northern calif first week of july,,,I might just get a Ace 250 and buy the high price one when it comes out.
But hoping that Garrett will replace the GTI 2500 or Whites replace their DFX.....
Whoever does theirs first I am going to buy because I know it should be a very big upgrade from the others...
Just really hate buying one now since we get lots of snow and I will not be useing till late June.
Commmmmon Whites and Garrett put a new high end machine outttttt...JT
 
Hate to buy a Garrett gti 2500 now and a few months a Upgrade will be out....
Bought a Garrett CX3 and the replacement came out a few months after.
I will even buya whites DFX replacement....
Just hate paying $900+ and a few months later something new will come out....
With the whites DFX you cannot use it that well for Gold nuggets,but whites came out with the M6 and supposed to be better then the DFX at getting Nuggetts,But its still a cheap machine...
I feel whites will have a replacement for the DFX before the year ends.
But hope garretts will put something out soon,hate to spend money on a outdated detector....JT
