replacement ear pads ur-30 any suggestions

Go to Harbor Freight and buy a set of cheap ear protection muffs and peel the cushion off of them and glue the cushion to the Koss,,,,it's all they really deserve. I don't understand the death grip those things have on people who continue using them just because Minelab sent them with the detector , especially when there are so many better inexpensive models to choose from.

Hey MINELABOB,
Check with Koss, I believe they will replace them for free. I Read a post on another forum some time ago, same issue. They said koss replaced them.

I've had mine for two years since I bought ny CTX and they work just fine. As long as I can hear the tones clearly, no need to change them.

Sometimes the trouble with "free" repairs, is the shipping can cost more than the cost of repairs. The ear pads seems like a relatively cheap fix.

Hope it works out well for you!

I agree. No reason to be looking for something new when what you have is working. I mean we aren't listening to stereo music here. I find the supplied UR-30 headphones to be fine for detecting and even have a spare pair if when the pads or cable gives out. Maybe then I will look for a different headphones. My money tree doesn't bare as much fruit as other people's seem to.

YA SIDWINDER
got to work with what you have.wen they brake then we will up grade, but 4 now they will do and if not i have 2 more pairs
to back me up.so the last thing i need is another set. i guess they think i still have a money tree in my back yard, but it
died 2years back.and cut it down to put in my test garden!!!!!!!!!!
