replacement coil

What is recommended for replacement of a bounty hunter 2200 elite coil. I would like it to be more precise.:usmc:

Hey SERT. My limited knowledge tells me you dont have many coil choices for your detector. It probably came with a concentric coil which has like an ice cream cone search pattern under ground 'V' So that is very precise. The other type of coil made is a Double D or DD. Its search shape is more like an inch thick blade, different from the concentric. BH does make a 4" 'nugget' coil which in my opinion is very fun because its a cinch to pinpoint and it fits into spaces larger coils cant. Ive got an 8" stock concentric on my BH 505 and it works great. Maybe spend some time with your coil and get to know it better or pick up a 4" coil for a different scene. This is just my opinion and I hope it helps. HH. Matt

Thanks for the info. Will this type of coil still register the coin as the machine is designed to do? Just by the name of the coil, I presume that it will pick up gold much better then the coil that comes stock. Anyway, thanks.:usmc:
