Repair question

I sent in my MXT to Whites for a check/up overhaul back in Feb. I also had them fix a lose head phone jack. I sent my MXT in with the 6x10 atached and when it came back it had a new 610 on it. I never noticed any trouble with the coil but I guess they saw something at Whites. The MXT worked great went it came back. I was out digging this past Friday and I noticed that when I turned my gain past +1 I get an override. It does not matter what my settings are, or how far the coil is off the ground. I even took the coil off and tested it. It works normal until I trun the gain to +1 or above then it will stay on override until I bring it back done. I tried balancing it but no luck there either. Has anyone ever had this problem with a coil? When I switch over to my sunray probe I can run the gain as high as I want so I am sure it is a coil issue.
