Repair of CZ-21

While hunting a few weeks back. my buddy noticed the rod on my CZ21 where the adjusting clip and holes are, was messed up. Did not want to send it in, however so reluctant I did. I also asked them to check it out for any discrepancies I might not have been aware of. I was waiting for a call and I had asked my wife if she had checked the PO box for the return receipt this way I would know when Fisher received the unit. She had not, and the next day I have a Fisher box at my door. I figured they could not have repaired it so quick, and was mad at me because I sent it to them in a White's DFX box. Anyhow, yep the repaired it and then some including a new coil. I didn't know its performance was lacking, for when my buddy and I was out that time, I found a gold mans bracelet, 1863 1/2 reale (Mexican), a few minie's, and two musket balls. I wonder what the heck I left ??
Just like to say Thanks Fisher for the repairs and the expedient return.

GREAT machine, HOWEVER. EVERYTIME mine goes in to be repaired they say I need a new coil also. I asked them last time why and they said there was NO notes so they had NO idea. I don't understand WHY the coils have to be replaced EVERYTIME. I wasn't charged for mine either BUT something seems fishy since they cost over 100.00 each. Just my observation and was wondering if ANYBODY else has had the same experience.

They have been more than accomodating.

I got mine back from them about 10 days ago, after they had gone completely through it and made extensive repairs, due to a flooding issue.

They didn't charge me a cent.

After I got it back, it developed a short in the coil cable ( I think)--I called them and told them the problem, and they sent me a pre-paid shipping label which paid for the shipping charges on their dime, not mine.

No questions.

I think maybe the reason they replaced the coil is that maybe it had issues with the coil cable, or the connection with the cable and the coil, or the cable and the housing. Probably easier to just put a new coil and attached cable on it.

Mine has a 10.5" coil. I've toyed around with the idea of asking them to put an 8" on it, but don't know for sure how much depth I'd lose in the process.

dive and can move it very well underwater with the control box mounted. The ONLY reason I would use an 8 is to get around very weedy areas.
