Rent a post office, anyone?

This is a old post office in a semi-ghost town in the Sierra Nevada foothills that is for rent. The owner seems to have converted it into a house. The pink just gives it character. :)

The second photo is just a quick snap shot I took of a cattle field nearby the post office a few hours after a rain storm. HH everyone.

I wonder if any famous people ever mailed letters from there? Thanks for sharing. Kelley (Texas) :)

Wow......i wonder how old it is....any ideas.Would there have been a big sign on the area above the door and windows. Its so good to see these old buildings being maintained, like Kelly said there is so much history in these buildings that they need to be maintained for future generations. The clouds in the second photo are gorgeous and really make a picture......lovely.

I love love LOVE the pictures. I would stay in that old post office in a heartbeat. Oh if those walls could talk. The field picture looks so relaxing. Love those old fence posts too. There's some beautiful country out your way and thanks for sharing it with us.

Kelley, I don't know if anyone famous has ever mailed a letter from there, but I imagine quite a few ranchers and prospectors have.
