In the first picture, I took everything out of the room, which was a boring couch and chair. The previous owners had painted it bleach white with forest green trim. I repainted the walls in a three tone parchment pattern. I painted the trim white. Picked up a nice large captain's table and chairs at a Schewels that was going out of business (saved big bucks). Charlie, don't laugh at my window treatments, they are top of the line Wal Mart (Supreme series ). Been buying some maritime accessories, such as the white whale that will eventually go on an end table... when I get them. Also picked up the matching round mirrors on ebay. In the center of the Captain's table is a 38" wooden model of the USS Constitution (ebay). To the left of that on the wall is a large print of the same ship. I added "ship lantern lights" on the walls. In the photos they are shining yellow, but in actuality they are a soothing amber color... looks really cool in the evening. Still have a bit to do to finish it, but this will be kind of "my room". The rest of the house I decorated with the girls in mind, lots of flowers, flower print fabrics on the couches, etc. This could be my manly room... ARRRGH!
