I said it was a real good 'un as the Alberts button book said it was a Rarity 25 in 1976 (or $25. back then). I said to a few people....just add a zero for it's value now. Well I guess I was right. It has the shank....check out this letter from Mark Parker from W&E magazine.....
(home address blocked out so another wierdo doesn't show up @ my door at 8am asking if I can take him to find Revolutionary musketballs)

...that I saw one identical to it dug right here on the coast of SC (unfortunately about 20 yards from me)a camp that saw both Federal & Confederate buttons recovered. That's a great find!

Bill,

That is one sweet button you dug/found. Were you using the Edge when you dug this? Because of your great review in W&E Treasure magazine I believe in February's issue-that I decided to purchase the Edge myself; having owned 2 previous Fisher detectors (C$ and CZ-70 Pro). This year I sold the C$ to a buddy of mine and only use the CZ 70 pro as a back up unit.

The Edge in my opinion is the best detector that Fisher ever developed-I have been extremely statisfied thus far int its' peformance. The only suggestion I would make: install a back light for this unit like the C$ & CZ 70 pro for evening night time use. I have made more valuable recoveries using the Edge then using the C$ and CZ-70 pro combined.

Keep up the good work on the Fisher Forum-and with W & E Treasure mag.

I agree on the Edge.....but I believe I was using the C$ at the time. I'm sure the Edge could have found it, but I like to use all my Fisher's and not let one collect dust.
Thanks for the kind words,
Bill
