Reluctant Hunt

I wanted to hunt but did not have much time and no really good place to go. I went to a house where I have hunted numerous times and started hunting. I was not getting any good signals and looked across the street, Across the street there was an old House where I had already got permission to hunt and had actually just sampled a couple spots with no good signals. I was familiar with the past Owner who is now deceased and he was an avid Metal Detector. I had no hope for this spot but I had no other good spot to go. Started hunting and was surprised. In a small area out front I found a 1936 Wheat, a 1944D wheat, a No date Wheat, and a 1910 V nickle. I also found a Ring but it turned out to be just Plated. This spot does have potential. that is a scratch on the V Nickle it was down there pretty far.

I also tried the Theory of raising my Coil on iffy Coin Signals like a 20 40 and almost every time I was able to get close to a 12 40 I found a Coin.

Nice V.....(my favorite to dig for some weird reason?????)

Dont know why but I like the Nickles myself. For some reason using the Etrac they just seem to stand out.

It's good that you went back to that spot and worked it some more and it paid off, congrat's...

I also love finding those V nickels.
