Looks like maybe a religious relic, but not entirely sure. It is about 3.5" long and 1 3/4" wide. Hollow back. No marks that I can find. Thank you
 
After a few emails, I finally got a positive ID. A local historian, and member of our local Catholic Church, looked at it closely, picked at the adhesive, looked at the detail and said, "what you have there is a Dove of Purity, and it is off of a gravestone". Eeeek.
 
No he didn't. There are a few articles on the spot where I was hunting, and the house was there in the mid 1800's. other than that, I can't find any more.
 
I asked the same question. Unless it was gold plated, or brass, bronze etc they wouldn't have put it on an urn. There is no evidence it ever was, so he said grave marker. You never know tho. Makes sense Digger!
