Lets hear some reasons why you guys like or prefer relic hunting over coin shooting.
:tesoro::detecting:

Pictures, values etc.

I like holding a piece of history in my hand that another person held in his. Wether it's Civil War or American Indian. A dropped or fired mini ball, at the time it was lost was being used to defend ones ideal's, honor or his convictions and nothing gets more personal than that. To hold a bullet that was fired at someone in the building of our great nation means a little more to me than coins. Though I do keep 'em when I find 'em. The worth of the item has no meaning to me at all, although I have sold 3 bullets(I needed a new shotgun) I do not MD for monetary gain. I have found bullets, buttons, a bayonet and a sword and someones silver that was lost during a battle and I even found a wedding ring in a CW camp. Now brother, that's as personal as it gets and I like it...d2

And even old tools, to me it's like a trip back in time, to re-live or imagine. how? who? when? where did this come from, I treasure them all, I even get sentimental i guess, relics mean a lot to me :detecting::thumbup::usmc::usaflag:
