Relics?

Don't know if these are really relics. A bunch of shotgun shell casings, a couple of bullets & many cartridge cases. Also an 1898 Indian cent & I think a pistol ball. These all from an older section of Arcadia, Florida yesterday. Can anyone ID the porcelain item in the photo? Is it an old insulator or spark plug or what ?

Yes they are relics, the cartruges look like henry or spencer, and the item on the second to the last row is a part of a knapsack i believe or something like that, found alot on civil war sites in va.

Thanks for the info. I can barely read the markings on a couple of the cases. It looks like WRA Co. 38 W.C.F.
I'm still curious about the porcelain item.

Hi....I've found several of those porcelain things, and I believe them to be very old style spark plugs. They had a screw terminal on the top and an electrode on the tapered end. I'm not sure how they were held in place without threads or how the spark-gap was handled, but I THINK that is what they are.
