Still on vacation and still working on the house that should have been done last Monday. Several delays and now we have bad weather. I do get out detecting, helps to keep the sanity, LOL.

Mike, Very nice finds!!! I did a bit of research on the 1486 button, and found that the same design was used on the reverse of a large silver coin of that same era. Here is some of that information.....

Archduke Sigismund as a tournament knight surrounded by a wreath of 16 coats of arms matching the titles of the archduke

that's it and good research! I believe the button might be from around 1786, 300 year celebration. Thanks again and HH, Mike

Whats your take on the seal.Did it clip on something, or is that one of the ring type seals that you made design in wax seal on envelope or folded paper documents. I saw one from England hunt once and it looked a lot like yours. His was the wax type marker seal.

was a seal used to bind bags of commodities like salt, wheat or cloth. I have found several of the seal matrix, the wax stamp type, some of my favorite finds. HH, Mike

Any chance you could post pictures of the wax type seals..I think those things are pretty neat..Love too see them..
