Hip mounted the GT for the 1st time , ohh man what have I been missing , I have needlesspunished myself all summer, well my back had its full i got out the hip mount bag and put it on and that WOT coil was as light as a feather what a difrence, so back out in the woods looking for whatever the loggers trappers, hunters, left behind, found a few more slugs, and one of them was mistaken by a squirl as a nut and he chewed thru it looking for the meat inside but never found it , only a toxic taist of lead that probly left him the toxic taist of a bird of pray , what fellfrom the sky and lay toxified then eaten by ants who became toxified and where eaten by toads who also became toxic and where eaten by harens who also fell then the flys became toxic and landed on our food , and----- the two shot shell casings Rem -UMC dates from 1911 to 1934 then the other WINCHESTER REPETER is 1920 and before well into the silver days but in all my searching and searching i have never found one silver coin in this large woods not one . its really barren but if i can I will keep searching . Hey Dr. Gunnar,

That lead slug with the nail in it, I am thinking the person(s) were target practicing? How the heck else would a nail get lodge into the slug like that. Interesting. That furball squirrel has been pushing up daisies for a long time. And the scavenger bird that came along and had squirrel a la mode is well, lying horizontal as well. The ants, toads and heron.... well, no explanation needed. The flies ate so much lead they couldn't get off the ground and died on carcass of the heron. Since this happened such a long time ago...I conclude that you are safe. Although, make sure you wash your hands after handling all that lead or you might just start another cycle lol

Nice old shotgun shell casings. Coinage has to be close by... Glad you decided to hip mount. Isn't it so much nicer then on the shaft? At least that is how I feel about it. If you want to make it even lighter, take off the WOT and mail it to me, then install the 10" tornado. Now you will be cooking with gas.lol looking forward to your next movie production.

Another great video Gunnar.

Thanks for sharing.

Forget Jim's cheeky comments, the WOT would be better sent down here to Tasmania. I would imagine using it in the southern hemisphere would reverse the magnetic polarity and put back all the energy that you have removed up there in the US. Then I could send it back to you good as new !!!

Yes jim Hip mounting is the way to go , it is as light as a tesoro now , and pete i will yet need the wot on the now hill this winter, I am just glad we dont have the box jelly up hear that would be a game changer, ---the nails in the slug is the way they make those but the GT overcame that one , hope i can get back out and do some mor vidio its melting now but if it freezez hard it will really seal up the ground should be 50 today and 56 tommorow

Box Jelly-fish not a problem here in Tasmania, water is too cold. We are at roughly the same latitude south as Iowa is in the north. Don't get as much snow as you but it can be very hot in summer and cold in winter. Jelly-fish problem is in tropical north Queensland, likely to come across the odd crocodile up there as well !!

Keep on detecting

Pete

The slug with the screw (not nail) is a Brenneke shotgun slug. The screw is used to hold a felt wad to the lead base acting as a gas seal making it one of the most accurate slugs made. Killed my first deer with one from a Rem 870 12ga @ 95 yards

errik you nailed that one , it is a screw, that what the history said as well ,and thear was felt around the nails to make a gas seal when fired good work bro .
