RELIC/ IMPACT

Anyone hunted with both detectors and can tell me are they that different in iron or relic hunting....

I haven't hunted with Relic however, I have had the Fors CoRe, Red Racer, Racer 2 and the Impact (Current Go Too Unit) all being great machines. I actually liked the Red Racer better than the Racer 2 but the Impact is better IMO. I mainly relic hunt and my stash to trash ratio has decreased dramatically. I dig less trash and more keeper goodies. It is just pleasure to hunt with. Separation is fantastic and it ID's well at depth which is DEEP if you set it up for the ground you are hunting. The Nokta/Makro machines just really fit my hunting style. I like the way they sound and they will open up hunted out sites. Great coin units as well. BTW the Impact loves silver. Happy Hunting

Not really much difference if you hunt in similar modes and 14kHz on the Impact. The Relic may fit relic hunters needs perfectly and you won't need all the extra features of the Impact.
But Impact wins in the versatility stakes. The Impact also fits me much nicer - bigger armrest, better handle etc. Impact also has two great all-metal modes with iSat, where that is missing off the Relic.

Try get mood and set your disc to about 26 it won't lose depth in fact it is a very deep program and works better than all of the all metal programs I have tried on other machines.

Try get mood?

I have used both quite a bit.
In the same sites and different sites.

Relic detector is sparkier, user likely will dig more iron and nails on average vs Impact.

Impact smoother in iron and nails.
Di99 mode is nice on Impact too.

Now if you are after iron relics both will do, but more will be dug accidentally with relic detector if one is trying not to dig them.

Relic detector is powerful though.

Takes a keener ear hunting polluted sites using relic detector vs Impact.
