Relic hunting with the Nox

There are some big time relic hunts coming up this Fall and I was wondering how the Nox machines are working in the highly mineral soils of Ole Virginny?

There are some good videos out there showing it is for a vlf machine. I think having some ability to id targets would be a huge advantage over P.I.'s.

I don't know about the soil condition part since I hunt in New England and NY but I used the Shadow X5 for years and the nox is as good on buttons and relics.

I live in Virginia. That soil where the hunts are is way to hot for a Minelab. You need a pulse machine.[/quote. Most guys hunt up there USING a Minelab...A GPX I believe it's called. Thought I'd point that out.

I really like my Nox but it can't touch the GPX for civil war relic hunting even in mild soil. I can bury a bullet to the edge of detection for my 800 and my GPX 4500 still hammers it.
