RELIC HUNTING? QUESTION????

Texas T

New member
I would like to pose a Question. You fellas have experience in this area I may never attain, (primarily A coin hunter) Without regard to age/brand/Coil etc. What is one or more of the best Relic-Detectors
you can Recommend? Have a chance to go to Missouri and hunt on a late 1790's, early 1800,s trading-Post.Untouched except by my brother-in-law. MANY arrow heads/stone dolls/club heads, already uncovered. Now some copper artifacts are beginning to show up.
Need possibly to reach 2-3 1/2 feet-digging every signal of course.
I THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR INPUT & ADVICE! Ken. C. Texas

I find that pretty much any detector out there on or off the market is a relic hunting unit. Those without discrimination are the true relic hunting detectors because they pick up anything within it's detecting range. Those built with discrimination can still be considered relic hunting detectors if run at low discrimination to eliminate very small relics like nails or small pieces of foil. You'll pick up must large pieces of iron and tins at a low discrimiation level. BFO's, TR's, VLF's and any duscrimator will work as a relic hunting detector.
