relic hunting comparison?

dem

New member
I hunt coins(cz3d).I have an opportunity to hunt a private property in VA(much civil war activity here).Have never used the 3d for relics.Do I just dig all sounds or can I eliminate trash in some way? Are some machines better for relics than the 3d and most importantly,,,why????????? thanks DJ

No reason for the CZ3D not to work on relics and would run it wide open as some relics are a mixture of Ferrous and non-ferrous..Basically you would have to know where bullets buttons and the like come in on a CZ3D as thats what you would be looking for..
Nautilus is considered by many to be the best relic hunter around as you hear ferrous in one ear and non-ferrous in the other to help you decide to dig or not.
On the other hand I know some Fisher 1266 hunters that are top notch in relic hunting....In coin hunting a meter is a big plus as coins just come in the approriate facet while relic hunters prefer a non-metered unit as relics differ greatly on metered units..I think a good plan of attack till you get the feel for it to dig all hits...
