i have been away for quit a while, so forgive me for beating this horse again. my question is i have a tejon and love it , but i have a problem ground balancing in the high min. ground in virginia. would the 5.75 coil help alittle and any thoughts of tesoro up grading the tejon to perform in bad ground. thats my only concern . if tersoro could come out with something to help with this i would buy it in a flash...thanks guys...

Tesoro makes a 5.75" coil in both a concentric and widescan version. Since these coils are smaller, it stands to reason that they would see less mineralization and allow the Tejon to perform better... how much is uncertain.
Hope this helps some

The smaller coil couldn't hurt, but I found if I GB with the sensitivity set low it helps. Once you get it balanced then run the sensitivity back up where you want it.

Just thinking if your soil is so bad that you need to change coils to get it to run you got big problems. Hope the sensitivity deal works for you.

Ron in WV

never thought of doing the gb that way ron. seems like it would help. also as far as the soil being really bad, well seems like their is more pockets of hot ground, more than the whole area...so i guess i need to get out there and learn, pay attention, and just dig...thanks guys for replying.. also fwcrawford , i think i will try and save some money to buy me a smaller coil i like a smaller coil anyway. cause where i hunt it is in really tight spaces..

,,,hiya,,the tesoro 12 x 10 d.d. is the coil you want,,they have around 35% less ground effect with this bad boy and you get an extra 2" or so ,,you can also use it on salt wet,,,so keep the tejon and buy this bad boy,,,you wont be dissapointed,,rgds :ukflag:
