The Vaquero found this neat airplane cufflink today in a park, could be from the 1930's or 40's. Soaked it in vinegar a while, then buffed it with a brass brush. The large medal is The American Institute medal of excellence. Found it some years ago in an old yard, thought you would get a kick out of it. The back says The Medal Of Excellence Awarded To HK & FB Thurber & Co. for Pride Of The Kitchen Soap, 1882. Weighs 3.5 ounces, sems to be bronze. The company was a food importer/distributer.

The cufflink was a good six or more inches in NJ mild soil, was testing maximum senstivity when I found it. The medal was shallower I beleive, that was some years ago, had a different detector.
