I went cache hunting at a site where a local feud went down in the 1870's. A lot of people got dead and nobody knows what happened to any of the gold that was hidden by the one of the big 'players' in that conflict. Well, there is a lot of history in that particular area, so I always like to find interesting relics that may be associated with that time period. In the attached pic you'll see two bullets. The flattened one I don't have much hope of getting an ID on, and I can only speculate what it must've hit..animal, tree..PERSON, who knows. The other one should be more easily identifiable to somebody who knows what they're looking at, hopefully anyway! This site is pretty large and has MUCH more to give up both in valuables (if they're still there) and in cool relics. We're going back Saturday!! So can anybody tell me what the bullet is that I found?
On another note, the AT Pro ROCKS in the trash! I've already decided I NEED a good relic shovel too. This is because some targets the AT found were DEEP! Using my buddy's relic shovel vs. my Home Depot sharpshooter convinced me that a good tool can mean much less work!
