Relic 10x5.5 concentric. Any users?

I was just checking the available coils for the Relic and noticed the 10x5.5 concentric. In my soil I prefer these over DD in many cases. Just wondering if there is anybody that has used this coil and what you thought of it.

Kurt

Well, not sure where you found one, but the fors gold+ has a white 5.5x10 concentric that works on the relic because they run the same frequency.
But unless it was just added, the relic only have the 5.5x10 DD which I have and enjoy.

I think I found a lead to one but will have to order from overseas. Kellyco doesn't carry it and from what I've gotten from them doesn't care to.

Also, Keith southern uses one and I believe Monte does as well

Oh ok. Must be new.
As of last week it wasn't there and they had no plans of stocking it.
Well that's awesome!!
We shall see how mine is when it arrives.

According to the people that I've heard from, it's a great coil. Especially if your ground isn't bad.

Well kudos to them.
Would have been nice to get a response from them from any of my emails lately lol.
But at least it will be available!!!

For ME, it doesn't usually matter what the soil type or mineralization or MMI read-out is, I generally prefer a Concentric coil to a DD coil when I have that option.

I live in Eastern Oregon, and spend most of my detecting time in sites with 3 or maybe 4 MMI levels, and the GB readout on my Nokta and Makro detectors is usually in the '78+' range to '85+' range. I only have DD coils for the Impact, CoRe and Racer 2, but with my Relic's I do have both the 5½X10 DD coil as well as the 5½X10 Concentric coil. I own two Relic models and keep the 5½" round DD on one, and the 5½X10 Concentric on the other full-time. That way I grab the model and coil based on the amount and type of trash.

In the low - to - modest trashy places where iron nails are the primary offender, I enjoy the Concentric coil's performance. I do work the 5½X10 DD coil when I am Gold Nugget Hunting, but that's mainly because I have that coil mounted on a different model. It works fine, but my preference stands to use the Concentric with my Relic. Folks just need to push the issue with the Nokta 'Distributor,' or any Nokta 'Dealers' here in the USA, to make sure they have some in-stock.

Monte

Well Monte it looks like they heard us, although they didn't answer me personally.
They have the FGP 5.5x10 concentric on preorder on their site and have it listed for both the fors gold+ and relic detectors.

Just got it yesterday. That was almost as fast as from us dealers and it came from..... Well far away.
I'm impressed.
I hope to have it out soon to see how it compares to the DD version I have.
