They do give you superior ground coverage, medium depth and once you catch on are not hard to pinpoint..Over the years they have made one of older whites, newer whites and even one where you could switch terminals to work on either..So be careful if buying used or even new if it is compatible with your unit..Sierra products make them so should offer the correct info...
