Related settings for Ex2 & SE

Just wondering if the setting for IM -6 for Ex2 is about the same as 22 on the SE's IM mode.
Looks about the same when I compare illustration in the manuals on line but not
absolutely sure about it. If not then what would be the setting for the SE's 22 be on the
Ex2 ?
Thank you.

The Explorer XS & II had a scale that ranged from -16 (all metal) to 0. The 0 value was actually at the middle of the meaning half the screen was black and half was white.

The scale was changed on the SE & SE Pro to allow the rejection to go all the way to the right side of the screen. The scale starts on the left (all white screen and running in all metal) with a value of "32" or AM as displayed. Running the rejection all the way to the right brings up the value of "0".

So as you said, a "-6" value on the XS or II equates to a "22" value on the SE & SE Pro.

I don't have an SE, so I'm curious ... did they just increase resolution there or did they actually make it so you could "quick" mask more of the screen?

The range of "0" to "16" is the area to the right of the max rejection possible on theXS & II. Not sure how many people would hunt beyond the mid-point anyway but that is what Minelab added / changed on the SE's

The figure below shows this.

So if someone with a Se wants to cherry pick for only quarters and dimes he'd set it to 2,3 or 4, right? And i can do basically the same with the Explr2, but I'd have to set it up with the Edit mode. Right?
(Note-I never would use that much Discrimination unless I was hunting for a large "just lost" silver ring.
