Regulator Inside GPX4000 control box???

We know that the GP3000 and 3500 have a regulator INSIDE the control box that regulates input voltage down to 5.9 volts. What about the GPX4000? One would think that there would be some steady voltage going to the board. If so what is the voltage? I have not seen a post as of yet with this question. John

One would have to speculate that there is still a regulator inside, because it is still dual voltage technology. The regulator is used to change the voltage strength of the pulse so as not to oversaturate the ground.

However, I am making the assumption that they must have upped the operating voltage as with the GP3500 we were cautioned against using voltage above 6.7 volts. With the GPX4000 they are pumping a raw unregulated 8.4 volts directly into the detector. What it does with that voltage after that. I'm not sure.
