Regarding Christmas traditions and Holiday prepping...

Alright...Listen UP, Everybody!!!

For those of you new to all this, there will be visitor this evening. He is an elderly gentleman and a close friend of the family. However, he's not over socialble...in fact, we rarely see him even when he DOES visit. But you can rest assured that he is usually VERY good to the smaller members of the household...provided they remain "good" to him throughout the evening.

Now, only one of you were here for last year's "incident" and I don't want any repeats THIS year! So we're going to lay down some ground rules for tonight's behavior.

First of all, I...more than anyone (since I made them)...am aware of the rules and training for not allowing strangers in the house - "no matter what", especially if the strangers are not coming in through one of the doors. But tonight is a once a year event and it's important that everyone remember that anyone coming down the chimney this evening with rabbit fur trim should NOT be challenged, much less resisted, in ANY way as this will not go well for you in the treat and reward department tomorrow...belive me! Is everyone with me on this?

I can't HEEEAR you...

Good. That's better!

This rule (for tonight only) also goes for any "helpful attempts to assist" our visitor down or out of the chimeny in any way by the canine members of this family. In fact, I expect everyone to remain in the main bedroom through the night!

Is that CLEAR to everyone?

...Holly?

...
HOLLY!!?

That's better.

Next...the cookies and milk are NOT treats for you and there WILL BE reprecussions for leaving your beds in the middle of the night to conduct any self-motivated "security checks."

Is THAT clear?

...Danny?

...
DANNY?!! ...You'll eat when I'm done! Now pay attention.

And now...last, but certainly not least, there will be absolutely positively NO young members of the family jumping on the bed, batting peoples faces or offering the unecessary cleaning of Mommy's or Daddy's ears and face prior to dawn.

Is that ALSO clear?

...TJ?

...
TJ?!!

...
TEE-JAY!!!

Thank you! That's better...

Alright then. You are all dismissed.

Oh...and...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
