Refurbished equipment just a thought

If the budget is an issue , consider getting refurbished cameras etc. If you get it from the "official" brand website, they will cut prices drastically and the gear will be as good as new....check it out.....i went to the canon site and i couldnt believe the price i saw for 50X optical...canon SX50..only $149...and they offer other items/cameras as well but if they dont have what youre looking for, you should check regularly. They keep updating their site...ive had pretty good luck with refurbished merchandise and in some case i buy the extended warranty (Square Trade). Ill have to share my Square Trade guarantee on a BIG tv of mine......

You can also get refurbished gear from non official site and the equipment will be refurbished to the Brand's factory standards (it will say so)

I search EBay for the Csmera I am interested in. Believe it or not, Best Buy also sells on EBay. I purchased a Camera from Best Buy, on EBay, for a Hundred Dollars less. It was brand new, just no factory Box!

You are correctomundo........
I hear lots of good deals at BB for open box items.....its on the site.....but nowadays if youre starting out you have to KNOW about cameras if you want to buy online.......or ask around

I've had real good luck ordering refurbs direct from Nikon. I got my D90 back when they were still in production and selling for aprox 1300,,, I paid 795 and the camera had less than 50 clicks on the shutter when i got it. I'm still using it today and have never had a problem. I've bought 4 or 5 lens' from them the same way and still no problems. I purchased a new SB600 flash as I was a dab Leary about a flash that had been refurbed

I'm not a pro photog or I might have felt a bit different about refurbed gear.

PS, Two of my refurbed lens' came from Adorama and also no problem and they were in Nikon sealed boxes.

adorama has a good rep....i too have bought several items refurb and they have been like NEW. If its a high end item i recommend the Square Trade extended guarantee.. They have a web site

Right! I've bought from them and B&H,,,, never had a problem with either of them. Been using both probably back into the late 60's early 70's when I was still using film. I bought a 42 in Sharp TV from one of them (non't remember which) 3- 4 years ago.
