Red Target

Maybe I am just hunting by ear too much but I don't think I've ever seen a red target on my screen? Do I have to set this up?

Target trace I think you hold the detect button I could be mistaken.

Any target in a shaded area will be a red triangle. The threshold blank (grunt) and the triangle will show. Any target in the white area will be a blue square. If its in the white area you will get a positive tone. These area's white and shaded are set by you the user.

Press and hold the Detect button to open the Detect Screen Quick Menu and enable Target Trace. (page 12 in manual) HH Randy

I looked at the book and I guess I've been missing this feature! My question, which button is the detector button?

What book? And if there was a book, wouldn't it be right where you were looking?

The detect button is the one the the detector coil on it. 3rd from left on top row.

Actually no it's not, I was reading the manual sir. I know this thing in and out but wasn't sure as to what they were referring...

It's the first gray button on the top row...right next to the power button. Looks like a tornado with a stem sticking out of the top.

I don't know of a detector button. But the Detect button is the one with the image of a coil and the detection field. Page 2 in the same manual.
