recurring finds

I have found 4 or 5 of the first item. I threw them away but because I have found so many I am now curious. What are they? The two angled sides have a slight taper or bevel. As though they were meant to have a sharp edge. There are 2 rivits (or screws, studs?) This one has one of the heads still showing.

I have found 3 of the other item pictured. The outside horizontal ribs are not 90 degrees to the circular ribs and it has a round tip (If that is the tip) on the right side of this pic. They are found at sites from the 1800's.

Since I have found so many of them I assume they were a common item back then. Please satisfy my curiousity.
Thanks.

I can tell you what the triangle thingy is....Its the blade off a sickle bar of an old hay mower...here's a pic I found on the net that shows the blades attached to the mower
