Recovery speed?

Can someone who owns a Vision max out their recovery speed and COMPARE it to a Fisher F75 running the default "De" mode? Design a controlled test and tell us what you find.

Hope this sticks...

Perform a test in a manner like the British guy does. Get a 2x8 by 6' board and lay a large nail 1" from a silver dime. The length of the nail should be oriented perpendicular to the length of the board. Sweep the coil at your regular speed in a tight ellipse passing over the nail first. The machine will null over the nail and be silent over the dime. Have a buddy separate the targets while you continue to sweep. Stop when you get an audible signal you would dig. Measure the distance between the targets. Repeat 4 times and average the distances.

That will never happen on this forum they have banned doing tests like that. You should ask that question on the Fisher forum and see if you can get the truth. No detector is going to be so new and different that it will beat the ground out. If you go to a park full of junk you will spend more time looking at your meter asking dig or not dig. The big thing is older parks with deep silver the M company give a hi flute sound so they dig the F company uses one tone and if you can get a clean hit you dig it. Nothing is 100% this new machine has a lot of cool stuff. I like to get a good tone a good VDI and dig and move on

There is no ban on any kind of testing on this forum LB.

Thanks I like to be open and honest and I too am waiting for real world testing I think the new whites has a lot going for it we just need more time and testing to see what it can do. I do think whites has passed the M company with this new machine.

Many variables in that equation but the adjustments are there for those that would prevail and want to trick it out to the next level!
This is where an old test garden helps!

SO little time ...SO many Good spots to rehunt!
Happy Trails

Testing has not been banned on here compare away if you want to. I have thought of doing this test but as soon as I do there will be the you did not do this right or that right or i cant make mine do that. So you do test at a risk of being called a liar or that looks good but is worthless becase it is not in the ground or your ground is different than mine will not work here you get the idea.

You are right it will take time the new white's gives a lot of info for those that want to have that to study..it is a lot of info that will make the dig even more fun. I was a whites dealer when the DFX came out and had one of my own. It was a great machine but not my cup of tea after a few years I changed and never looked back. It is nice to have a machine that keeps one happy and for those that spend the time to learn this new machine it is going to make hunting fun. I am a digger give me a good mono tone and a good VDI and I will dig and take my chances. When relic hunting there are so many different targets in the ground you just have to have the legs to bend and dig. I do have fun also at the end of the day when you have history in your hands there is nothing that can beat that

Correct I do believe that when relic hunting there are so many different targets that you will be looking for depth and should dig any non ferrous target and in the right area larger ferrous targets.
I tried the Mixed Mode Pro yesterday and it worked great for this. I dug a 44cal bullet at 10" thought that was pretty impressive. Liked this program better than the relic on got better depth. The info the vision gives will be better used for coins and jewelery for me. When relic hunting I will have a big shovel and dig dig dig.

Hi Low-boy how are you getting on mate

I go on a lot of the other forums and i know your not a whites user, you use a Fisher F-75 which you seem to try and promote on every forum you visit, i had one myself, ok good on iron sites, fast recovery speeds, but i found it to unstable so got rid of it.

But your right it does not matter what make of detector you use,if you like it and get on with it that's the important thing

Personally i like the Whites machines, i own a DFX, the new vision looks the business, if it has a fast recovery speed and can handle iron infested sites, it will be the best detector ever made to date.

When this detector arrives in the UK hopefully Norfolk wolf will do a recovery test on it, and if it's a positive test i will be running to Joan Allan's to buy one

It's a shame that some folks will have an agenda but that is the risk of sharing DATA on a site like this. I'd still love to see the results, flawed and all. Describe your test conditions, sanitize the ground and measure how long it takes you to sweep ten full sweeps so as to measure YOUR sweep speed. It's a good test that will tell us all how the Vision stacks up to the competition and it's easy to perform.
