Recovery Speed: F75 vs E-trac

Does anyone have both units that might be able to perform the test as done by Norfolk Wolf? I'm curious if the recovery speed has significantly improved on the new E-trac.

Initially I liked these tests. I agree the test is as consistant as he can make it, but I'm positive it's not an accurate measurement of a real condition. Plus, he's using a cut-half with the nail on the parallel axis, which is the worst possible condition. In fact, if he held the detector 2 or 3 inches higher he'd get different results.

I don't think Regton sells Minelab or Fisher detectors which also makes me suspect -- watch the XP Goldmaxx video and how much time he spends on HIS recovery test :) I have the f75 and Explorer - my finds are higher and I dig less trash with the Explorer so I use it more. But, by this silly test it would be dismissed as a bad detector.... The f75 is fast, but its unstable in inner-city and suburban areas where you might dig great coins. It also has a habit of up-sampling the TID when a target is next to iron. By this test though, it's the only option .....

check out the mlotv demonstrations with the e-trac and iron if you want a similiar test. There are some on there that are detecting high conductive coins with the nail sitting right on top at 10"
