Recovery Fast and/or Deep

Member
I'm mostly beach hunting right now, should I use one or the other (Deep/Fast) or both. What are the benefits and disadvantages?

thanks ya'll.

I used Fast ON with previous FBS detectors. But honestly, with the accelerated response of the CTX 3030 processor, I don't find I need it. I do, however, use Deep on in areas with little clutter and deep coins. You know, those areas where everyone else thinks there is nothing worthwhile left. HH Randy

I run with the deep on her in Indiana. :twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

I was hunting with fast on deep on and not getting depth over 8". switched to fast off with deep on and the ground lit up with targets.

Set a record in this place I hunt that has deep bullets.

May have been a coinsidence, will let you know more the next time I go in there with it set up this way.

I have done a lot of beach hunting with mine depends on your beach. 90% of the time I run just deep on fast off. If you run into a area with a lot of iron targets I would turn fast on and deep off don't see any advantage of running both on at the beach.

But opposite of Jason above if you run fast on you then can run your gain to thirty and have a different result. This is the beauty of the 3030 you can set 4 combos's and have it a click away to see waht you like best for your hunting style. Each of us hunts diferently! Any combo that works for you may not be good for another.
