Recovery Deep/Recovery Fast

You might get other responses BUT I think Fast ON, for finding good stuff between the bad and Deep OFF, as most targets wont be that deep.

In sum.....It wont make any difference on a GOOD Signal....I believe these setting only apply to only a weak or "iffy' signals.

I have spent hours just playing/testing the E-Trac and I have never found that Deep on improves even the deep targest but that fast on in the trashy sites does help a little bit but makes the signals a bit shorter/choppier but no problem once you are used to running in fast on. I also run with deep off all the time.....

I run DEEP-ON, FAST-ON all the time in trashy areas, and it works for me. I pretty much stick with what's been working great at a trashy site, and that's:

DEEP-ON
FAST-ON
SENSITIVITY-AUTO +3
Custom Pattern
TTC

Can't say anything negative about my settings since I've been killing on coins.

I have found the best results with deep=off and fast=off. I guess it's whatever works for you.

i usually have both OFF,,,, but in heavy trash I will turn FAST on and it helps get from one target to the next,,,,, I run LONG TONES and notice a little diffence in the sound but not much,,

I get more accurate, and stable, VDI with FAST and DEEP off on very deep targets.

What I was taught about Deep On, by one of the developers of the E-Trac, is that Deep On makes a deeper target sound a little louder than it will with Deep Off.

I run with it off where I am not expecting anything real deep (>7 inches).

It is a personal preference whether you want to amplify the faint signals or not.

Deep off fast on for me unless I'm in a loud area and my headphones aren't cancelling the noise out that well.

I run "fast" on when hunting iron or trash infested sites and run "deep" on only when I'm getting iffy deep signals. When I run "deep" on, I switch to "long" tones.
