what do people mean when they say fast recover speed?

the lag time between targets, how fast the detector can be swung and pick up all targets if you run low discrimination on any detector and can hear all targets it will let you know how fast it can be swung and its recovery speed between targets.

Recovery speed. Yes the lag time between targets from one target to the other. The fast recovery of the signal from the threshold(or silent) to high pitch over a target then back again to threshold(or silent).
