Record Breaking Temps Sends Us Detecting:

We had highs of 68 yesterday and almost 70 today. Yes, in Central IL. Larry and I got out yesterday and hit a yard. I found the 36 Merc right off the bat and later found the 1909 Indian cent and trade token "Good for 5cents in trade at the bar" from Streator, IL, a small lapel pin along with the typical clad. Then today we went to a home here in town trying to locate a baby ring that was lost back about 40 plus years ago. Didn't have any luck. But we can say we tried our darnedest. The last picture is of my meager finds which consist of 2 wheats, a brass hose nozzle, parts to a oil burning lantern, an old metal brooch and the typical clad. Sorry the pics aren't clear. Maybe next time. Thanks for looking and hope others were able to get out in this unusual Indian summer in January. Nancy

We still have snow on the ground here, and more predicted tonight. Gonna be a long winter.
