Went to Fort Sherman(N.Idaho College) in Couer d'Alene, Idaho today. Found this at about 7".
I know the pic sucks but I hope there is enough pattern to identify. It appears to be copper and has a small slide on it. The back looks like it may have been soldered on one end to something else or possibly to itself. Its isn't complete, I'm sure.
I don't know if this is related to the solders that were here or from the early years after the fort was occupied. Fort Sherman was occupied from 1878-1898 and the solders there were probably using leftovers from the civil war. So, if this is true, maybe someone has found something with this pattern before. Thanks for any help.
