Recieved my AT Gold Today! First Impressions...

So far this detector is quite a sensitive machine. I have tested it on several nuggets in the air and in the hot ground in my back yard. So far even the small ones pop out well. The smallest I have tested so far is a very rough .2 gram nugget. I have already established some settings when looking for tiny nuggets with this machine which can be locked it and go at it. Will test further...

This new 5x8" DD coil gets the depth of my 9.5" coil on my GTI 2500, due to its blunted tip and tail, its design to do that from what Garrett engineer has said.

I really like the introductary package also...got me the backpack, gold book with vials, digging pick, gold pan and snuffer bottle. So far so good. Seems this is the prospector I've been waiting for.

I have recently located several hard rock mines that are producing gold in quartz when samples taken home and crushed. I'm sure the AT Gold will help me choose the best specimens for sampling because of its high sensitivity and manual settings..

More prospecting test coming soon...
