Recheck of old park looks good !!

I went back to recheck an old park I started last year. At that time I found a few IHs, tokens, Vs and a merc. Last few times there were not productive so I moved on. I went back Friday and was surprised to see construction had gone on. New walks, parking lot, etc. I wish I had been around during that !!
I found a sweet area that was turning up deepies. After finding a '53 Washington I found two IHs in the same hole (1895 & 1899 - you can see in the photo how they were resting together). I finished up with a couple more IHs (1902s) and 8 wheats (incl 1916, 1917, 1919). I hit only a small area so by the evidence I know there has to be more older stuff and I'm sure some silver. A new "go to" spot !

You know Bruce sometimes that has happened to me. Case in point being when I found my Capped Bust Dime posted in my sig.
I had hunted that place to death literally. I had not been back in a while and I am so glad we decided to hunt it again.
One must realize that when we sweep we often are not truly covering every square inch. We would have to rope it off in grids and sweep those areas in almost every direction to clean it out. Obviously this is not practical on someones property or a local park. That is why things always can turn up added the changing freeze thaw and ever changing soil conditions.
Well, enough rambling and congrats on the finds. I would keep going back also.

Thanks Mike, You're absolutely right. We all have spots that we rehunt due to lack of time, desperation, etc. It seems when we least expect it we turn up something good, I like to hunt a spot with the attitude:
"there's SOMETHING here and I'm going to find it!"
