was wondering if anyone uses aa rechargeable batteries in there 3030
What brand
how long do they last
the ones i see are only 8- 1.2v = 9.60v instead of having 8 alakilines 1.5v =12

I like the 1.5v Lithium Polymer AA rechargeable batteries in mine. I have noticed they perform similar to Alkaline AA's in staying power, and measurably better than the NMh AA rechargeables I had been using. PM me for brand names, don't think I am allowed to post them on here.

With NMh batteries, I was getting about 6-8 hours of swinging time (always with the 17" coil). The Lithium Polymer batteries give me around 9-11 hours of hunting. Full disclosure: I swing with GPS on and all the "bells and whistles" turned on, so I probably eat more power than I should.

Oh, and the Lithium Polymer batteries hold their charge for months when not used. When not water hunting, I use the Li-ion pack and the Lithium Polymers are my backup. Use them in both the CTX and E-Trac.
