recent lake and seashore hunts

all of these finds were found during 2 hunts at the same lake... the gold ring pictured by itself is from last weekend at the shore.... the gold ring is stamped 585 which equals 14k I believe.... the only gold I found at the lake is the folded prayer hands stud earing which is 10k... the few other stud earings next to the 10k folded hands earing are stamped 925.... all others are junk... the 3 rings in the lake hunt finds photos are stainless steel, plated and the darker colored one is tungsten..... not pictured is all the trash and clad.... the 14k ring was the best of it from 4 low tide hunts in the surf and wet sand.... happy hunting all.... bootyhoundpa........ A nice amount of finds from the same lake...might be worth one more shot!!That ring is a fine find.WTG:clapping:

thanks for comments... jim, all these were found with an excel .... funny you should mention that chain,, it just happens to be the 1st target I found out of all of them pictured and the silver heart is the last target I found in the lake , I found them both in same general area and believe they were probably together until the chain broke.. both are silver.... the lake opens up for detecting the day after labor day so there is lots of other competition ... only seems to be small targets left after 1st day.....

Lots of small stuff. Good job! That stuff frequently falls through scoop holes and takes work to recover more than once and finally pouch it. Are you using a sifter or just a scoop?
Cheers,
tvr

this sure is a fun hobby. Don't you think so. Darn good spot you have there... KEN

[attachment 275501 reszdscoop-Copy.jpg] tvr, my recently homemade custom scoop with 1/4 in holes on bottom doesn't let very much get away.... and yes ken this is a great hobby, a little too great if you know what I mean... it used to be a hobby that's now become a passion... oh well could to a lot worse ,, not too bad a habit to have I suppose....

It is a bad habbit that I think I like. I don't think they have a support group for it yet... KEN

I was wondering what happened to my soup pot!

Seriously now ... nice job on the scoop. Looks like it is working well for you. Not much in the way of small jewelry or small fishing weights is going to get through those 1/4 inch holes and make you dig them again.
Cheers,
tvr
